  1. I love your way (D.E. based on Psalm 119/Daniel Elson)
Every verse in Psalm 119 exalts the word of God. This truly great Psalm acknowledges our need for God’s mercy and grace and promises immeasurable blessings to those who remain focused on his word.

  2. Yours the grace (B.T./Bruce Tulloch arr. Nicholas King)
This song, I am sure, will become a popular addition for those seeking something that is accessible, yet powerful, in its message. The verses are based on Romans 5, where we find that grace is not only how salvation comes to us but is also a description of our present standing before God.

  3. Dyma Gariad (Here is love) (Stephanie Mead/Jonathan Mead)
The composer, the Deputy Songster Leader at Morriston Corps, is joined by his wife who makes her first appearance in this journal. This song was written for last year’s 150th anniversary of The Salvation Army’s ministry in Wales.

  4. For the privilege of service (Robert Street/Nicholas Samuel)
Commissioner Robert Street’s recently published book, For the privilege of service, contains 365 daily readings based on his life experiences. The verses of this song form the introduction to the book. Captain Nicholas Samuel, who is the corps officer at Halifax West, Canada and Bermuda Territory, has provided music that not only complements the verses, but has the potential for congregations to learn and feature in worship.

  5. The greatness of God (Malcolm Westwood/Howard Davies)
Two well-known and much-loved contributors to this journal have combined to provide a song that speaks of our awe and admiration that God, in all his majesty and power, should care and love us as individuals. The song describes how God cares even when we don’t care about ourselves. The prayer is simple and is summed up in the final statement ‘How great is God!

  6. In Need (R.K./Ross King arr. Simon Gash)
The composer is a songwriter and worship leader who lives in Nashville, Tennessee and leads worship across the USA. This beautiful song speaks of the Christian’s constant longing to seek God’s calling for our lives.

  7. Sacred Space (Nigel Bovey/Andrew Mackereth)
This song was created after the author and composer had visited Buckfast Abbey, Devon. Within the abbey there is a quote from St. Benedict which says: ‘Listen, O my son, to the precepts of thy master, and incline the ear of thy heart.’ Many of us demand instant answers, finding it hard to wait; we set goals and a time frame for each item on our list. This song speaks of the daily quest we face, seeking that sacred space with God.

  8. Praise Hymn (Dawn Neeve/Daniel Bates)
We conclude with two writers that have, in recent years, been regular contributors to this journal. The song is simple in design and should be accessible to most groups.
