Welcome the Light is Richard Phillips' setting of words by John Gowans, former General of the Salvation Army. The verses in A minor are followed by a bridge section beginning in F major, leading to the flowing chorus in C major, and the piece ends with a triumphant Coda to the words "Welcome the Christ, his name is love".
