Richard Phillips and Stephen Pearson have collaborated to produce ‘Christmas in my heart’ which takes the form of a choral pop song. With this in mind the style must be relaxed and the syncopation where written should be easy and natural sounding. Female voices have the lead in verse 1 with accompanying male voices followed by a chorus where the text should be given prominence. Verse two is the reverse with a modulation into the second chorus.
